Job summary

City Rise Safety in California seeks an experienced Traffic Control Lead to supervise the work crew, manage flagging setups, lane and road closures, and detours. You will ensure safety, communicate with clients, and enforce MUTCD guidelines during field operations.

The ideal candidate has leadership experience, strong customer service, and the ability to train and evaluate staff while ensuring high safety and quality across all site activities.

Qualifications

• Current LIUNA membership with journey person classification, applicable CBA required.
• Proficient knowledge of the Caltrans MUTCD.
• Ability to read and understand traffic control plans and permits.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and others.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision while prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise job site and lead traffic control crew.
• Develop knowledge of work zone setup and professional traffic control responsibilities.
• Provide high level customer service with on-time arrival and well managed work zones.
• Implement Traffic Plans & Permits and safety protocols.
• Complete daily Job Hazard Analysis and conduct tailgate meetings.
• Maintain onsite client contact and uphold safety standards.
• Manage day-to-day work zone setup, maintenance, and teardown.
• Drive company trucks and operate towable equipment as required.
