Job summary

E-Z Bel Construction, LLC in San Antonio, TX is hiring a field technician to install and energize traffic signal systems. You will install signal heads, connect devices, pull and splice conductors, and set up cabinets and controllers, working aloft in bucket trucks and on grade.

You will follow MUTCD and OSHA standards, perform testing, document work, and assist with staging and safety. Must have 1–5 years in traffic signal installation or electrical trades, with the ability to read schematics

Qualifications

• 1–5 years’ experience in traffic signal installation or related electrical trade.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with MUTCD, OSHA, and TxDOT standards (preferred).
• Safe operation of bucket trucks, aerial lifts, and rigging.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Comfort working at heights and a strong safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Review layouts and plans and apply them to field installs.
• Install and connect signal heads, push buttons, and detectors per spec.
• Pull, route, splice conductors in conduit; maintain color coding.
• Assemble signal poles, mast arms, and brackets with proper hardware.
• Configure detection systems, controllers, cabinets, and battery backup.
• Operate bucket trucks and perform voltage and continuity testing.
• Record installations and inspections in logs; report hazards.
• Perform traffic control and assist with staging and loading.
