Job summary

Required are a high school diploma or GED and 3 years of experience in electronic equipment repair, plus the ability to obtain a Texas CDL or operator's license within 90 days.

Qualifications

  • Three years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment.
  • Must be able to estimate time and materials for tasks or projects.
  • Knowledge of reading blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic systems to diagnose problems and perform repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots electronic systems to diagnose electronic problems and performs required repairs.
  • Installs, alters, repairs, and maintains metering and recording equipment used in water and sewage treatment plants.
  • Maintains records/logs of time and materials used in maintenance and repair history.
  • Inspects, tests, and repairs traffic/revenue control and signaling systems.
  • Performs circuit analysis of digital/analog equipment and related components.
  • Wires traffic-control cabinets and field wiring.
  • Repairs or replaces faulty components and tests equipment.
  • Programs traffic signal controllers and revenue control equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on electro-mechanical and electronic equipment.
