Job summary

AWP Safety in Reading, PA, is looking for Protectors to manage traffic control at job sites. No experience or degree needed; training provided. You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and follow safety rules while working with a crew.

Shifts may include nights or weekends; you may stand or walk 8–12 hours per shift. We provide safety gear and require a valid license, with paid training and a safety certificate as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and take traffic control equipment down.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job site activity.
• Follow all safety rules taught in training and communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Help keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside year-round in all weather; shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergencies.
