Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc is hiring Protectors to work at traffic sites. No experience or degree is required as training is provided to ensure safety first on every job.

You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and maintain safety at all times. Expect outdoor work in all weather, with shifts possibly including nights or weekends. Personal steel-toe boots are required to be provided by you.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; Show up on time, every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and take traffic control equipment down.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job site activity.
• Follow all safety rules taught in training and communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Help keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside all year, in all weather; shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergencies.
