Job summary

AWP Safety is seeking Protectors to join our traffic management team. You will set up cones, signs and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and support a safety-first culture. Training is provided, and you will receive safety equipment as part of the role.

Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergency hours. You may stand or walk 8–12 hours per shift, and you will be part of a team committed to safety and professional conduct at all times.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; Show up on time, every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and take down traffic control equipment.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job site activity.
• Follow all safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Help keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside all year, in all weather.
• Shifts may change based on job needs.
• Stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shift.
