Job summary

HNTB in Oklahoma City is seeking a senior engineer to lead the technical team responsible for designing and delivering engineering plans and specifications for key infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with project managers, mentor junior engineers, and ensure high-quality deliverables within scope and budget.

The role requires strong leadership, design expertise, and experience across disciplines, with preference for PE certification and familiarity with MicroStation/OpenRoads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 5 years, or PhD with 4 years.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams on complex infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and distribute discipline-specific work, ensuring schedule and budget adherence.
• Assist in marketing tasks, including proposal development.
• Develop scope of work and level of effort for projects within the discipline.
• Oversee completeness and accuracy of the team’s technical output; mentor staff.
• Coordinate technical aspects with clients and teaming partners.
• Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
