Job summary

HNTB in Houston, TX is seeking a Traffic Engineer to support planning, analysis, and design of transportation improvements. You will work with multidisciplinary teams on projects that improve movement of people and goods, prepare design calculations, technical reports, and specifications, and help deliver projects from concept to construction.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience (or Master's with 1 year of relevant experience).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience.
Master's degree in Engineering with 1 year of relevant experience also acceptable.
Experience with traffic engineering software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, VISSIM, Synchro, HCS or IHSDM.

Responsibilities

Completes assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
Prepares and/or modifies portions of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
Develops project quantities and assists with cost estimates.
Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.
Capable of self-sufficiently completing research, data collection, field investigations, and design of projects.
