Job summary

Quail Construction, part of the Helix Traffic Solutions network, seeks a traffic planning specialist in Phoenix, AZ. You will develop work area traffic control plans, coordinate with city agencies, and manage multiple projects to keep work zones safe and compliant.

This role emphasizes permitting, plan revisions, and collaboration with customers and officials. Strong organizational, communication, and Excel skills are essential for on-site traffic management and timely project execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop work area traffic control plans meeting work zone requirements and permits.
• Submit plans to City/Controlling agencies for review and approval.
• Coordinate permit services as required per customer.
• Attend meetings with customers and City/Controlling agencies.
• Revise plans per agency direction.
• Manage multiple projects to meet contractor schedules.
• Review and advise on traffic plan drawings.
• Log and track plans in Excel.
• Other duties as assigned.
