Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Department Manager for the Traffic Planning team in Phoenix, AZ. You will lead technical and staff activities, shape regional traffic strategies, and coordinate with other disciplines to grow our services.

The role requires a civil engineering degree, 20+ years of Transportation/Traffic experience, and an AZ PE license (PTOE/PTP preferred). Expect leadership responsibilities, client interaction, and a focus on project profitability and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
• 20+ years of Transportation Planning/Traffic Engineering/Roadway Design and Land Development experience required.
• AZ PE license required; PTOE/PTP preferred.
• Experience with ADOT/ITE/AASHTO standards/publications.
• Experience preparing Traffic Impact Studies and coordination with ADOT; Roadway and Traffic Signal Plans.
• Strong communication and polished presentation skills; ability to supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage operations to ensure quality of technical products.
• Set long-range objectives, goals, and plans for the traffic planning team.
• Provide technical and management leadership to the assigned team.
• Develop marketing programs aligned with discipline goals.
• Coordinate with other disciplines within the region for business development.
