Job summary

Quail Construction, part of the Helix Traffic Solutions network, seeks an Estimator to lead cost estimates for roadway projects and traffic-control systems in Arizona and Nevada. You will manage the estimating process from plan review to bid submission while supporting contractor relations and internal planning.

Qualifications

• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and numerical analysis.
• Strong critical thinking to assess scope risks and bid strategies.
• Experience in road/utility construction estimating.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork (1+ years preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review plans and traffic-control requirements to prepare estimates.
• Develop detailed estimates for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Prepare bids for ADOT, county, municipal, and private projects.
• Coordinate with vendors, partners, and branch managers.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and track bid submissions.
