Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Traffic Assistant Manager in Leominster, MA to oversee the Traffic department. You will lead a team, coordinate scheduling and routing, and ensure safe, efficient daily operations while upholding health, safety and sustainability goals.

Responsibilities include budget management, internal/external communication, and data entry. CDL or willingness to obtain, forklift experience, and strong leadership are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a current full valid driver's license and ability to meet driving record requirements.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills, leadership potential, and customer service orientation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Motivating and leading team members.
• Coordinating employees, including scheduling, hiring and exiting.
• Ensuring day-to-day operations are completed in the Traffic department.
• Monitoring efficient daily operations of the Traffic department.
• Communicating internally and externally by phone and email.
• Maintaining files, documents, paperwork and data entry.
• Managing budgets and performance metrics.
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules.
• Participating in safety and sustainability programs.
• Operating a Fastenal vehicle and running truck routes as needed (Non-CDL/CDL).
