Job summary

Fastenal, a leading distributor of industrial and construction supplies, seeks an entry-level Traffic Administration professional for the Bartlett, IL distribution center. This full-time role supports the Transportation department, handling daily operations, data entry, driver scheduling, and load security from 1570 W Stearns Rd.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving record requirements.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that may weigh up to 100 lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (US, Puerto Rico and Guam).

Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day operations of the Traffic department.
• Communicate by phone and email.
• Maintain files, documents, paperwork and data entry.
• Manage budgets and performance metrics.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed.
• Assist with scheduling drivers and securing loads.
• Operate a Fastenal vehicle and run truck routes (Non-CDL and/or CDL as needed).
