Job summary

WSP is seeking a Transportation Analyst in Jersey City, NJ to support traffic operations for PA-TMC.File duties include monitoring incidents, coordinating with agencies, and maintaining real-time situation awareness using CCTV/VDS.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in traffic operations, related field experience, and will complete IMSA ICS courses within 180 days of hire. Compensation reflects an hourly pay rate and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Background in traffic operations with field experience.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Must complete IMSA and ICS courses within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and disseminate traffic condition information to assess congestion and incidents.
• Coordinate with NYCDOT, NYSDOT, MTA, NJDOT, NJ Turnpike and others as needed.
• Maintain situational awareness via CCTV and VDS monitoring.
• Monitor planned events and real-time data for PA staff and agencies.
• Generate incident entries and alerts in 3rd party apps as required.
• Ensure smooth handoffs to the next shift and report machinery issues.
