AECOM is seeking a Traffic Monitoring Operator I for a part-time, variable schedule in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on monitoring incidents, disseminating information, and coordinating with INDOT and responders in a fast-paced environment.

You will monitor CCTV, input events into REM/CARS, and communicate across agencies to ensure accurate, timely traffic information is provided to the public.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to synthesize information from multiple inputs, including road sensor data, radios, CCTV, and databases.
• Knowledge of Indiana roadways.
• Ability to work calmly and accurately under intense pressure.
• Able to multitask under intense pressure.
• Able to communicate across various levels of management.
• Knowledge of personal computers and software.
• Ability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts.

Responsabilités

• Disseminate information verbally and electronically about active incidents to INDOT’s Hoosier Helper Freeway Service Patrol.
• Monitor CCTV traffic cameras and radio communications with INDOT personnel and responders.
• Input data into REM and CARS databases for incidents and construction activities.
• Assess data from sensors and cameras to identify incidents and provide timely updates.
• Prepare information for dissemination to motorists and coordinate with agencies.
