Kapsch TrafficCom seeks a detail-oriented System Operator I to monitor traffic conditions and coordinate incident response at the Region 2 Transportation Management Center in Utica, NY. The role requires familiarity with ITS elements and following established procedures.

The Trainee path offers promotion to System Operator I after core competency evaluation by NYSDOT Region 2 management. Training begins immediately with potential advancement upon successful completion.

Qualifications

• Education and experience meet minimum qualifications.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and general computer skills.
• Ability to read maps and understand roadway elements.
• Ability to work with NYSDOT staff and partner agencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor traffic conditions at the Transportation Management Center (TMC).
• Coordinate incident response and ensure efficient operations.
• Follow procedures and direction for TMC daily obligations.
