Job summary

At AtkinsRéalis, we are seeking an ITS & Traffic Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in El Paso, TX. You will provide administrative and operations support, compile data, and prepare reports while using CAD software (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD) to produce schematics and design plans.

The role is entry-level; no experience is required if pursuing a civil engineering degree (ABET-accredited) with 60 hours completed by Summer 2027.

Qualifications

• Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operations support.
• Responsible for the compilation of data and the preparation of reports.
• Utilize computer software such as CAD (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD) to produce schematics, drawings and design plans.
• Assist with preparation of design plans and traffic signal models
• Coordinate within organization unit to ensure consistency with policies and procedures.
• Participate in group meetings, both project and organization related
