You will work with professionals to develop practical safety and mobility improvements. The ideal candidate has completed transportation engineering coursework and may have prior internship experience.
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, invites you to join our internship experience for a limited-term, full-time summer internship with our Traffic Engineering & Advanced Mobility (TEAM) group.
Our TEAM focuses on the analysis, design, and implementation of traffic control devices (e.g., signing, pavement markings, traffic signals, roadway lighting) as well as Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) such as variable speed limits and ramp metering along our roadways to improve traffic safety and mobility. In addition, we support corridor studies, safety audits, and complete streets initiatives to ensure our transportation network is efficient, accessible, and safe for all users: drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists, and transit riders alike.
This role involves working outdoors on a regular basis in various conditions, including live traffic environments, and requires the ability to lift and squat at least 25 pounds.

Hourly Rate Range: $21.00 to $26.00 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
