Barge Design Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Traffic Engineering Associate to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This role focuses on delivering impactful infrastructure solutions and engaging traffic design projects across communities we serve.

The position offers opportunities to own smaller projects and contribute to larger initiatives under senior engineers, helping you build technical expertise and meaningful project experience for the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• 1–2 years of roadway design experience.
• Engineer Intern (EI) / Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification required.
• Experience using Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) software preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly WORD and EXCEL.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are important.
• Working knowledge of utilizing AASHTO and MUTCD roadway design materials.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the design of a variety of Traffic project types.
• Collaborate with project team members, client representatives, review agencies to resolve issues and develop effective solutions.
• Assist in the analysis and preparation of reports, specifications, plans, and permits for projects.
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to prepare engineering and design documents/drawings.
• Accompany design team on site visits and client meetings as needed.
• Learn and apply Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure tasks are completed promptly and meet quality expectations.
