Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of roadway design experience.
• EI/EIT Certification required.
• Experience using Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) software preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are important.
• Working knowledge of AASHTO and MUTCD roadway design materials.

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. is seeking a motivated Traffic Engineering Associate to join our team in Atlanta, GA. In this position, you will play a key role in delivering impactful infrastructure solutions that benefit the communities we serve, including engaging work on a variety of traffic design projects.

You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of smaller projects while also contributing to larger, more complex initiatives under the guidance of senior engineers. Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design of a variety of Traffic project types.

• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to prepare engineering and design documents/drawings.
• Accompany design team on site visits and client meetings as needed.
• Learn and apply Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure tasks are completed promptly and meet quality expectations.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of roadway design experience.
• Engineer Intern (EI) / Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification required.
• Experience using Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) software preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly WORD and EXCEL.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are important.
• Working knowledge of utilizing AASHTO and MUTCD roadway design materials.
