Job summary

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Traffic Engineering Associate to join the team. You will own smaller traffic projects and assist with larger initiatives under senior engineers to build technical expertise and deliver community-focused infrastructure.

Responsibilities include CAD drafting, collaborating with clients and agencies, and applying GDOT guidelines. This role offers growth through project ownership and involvement in diverse traffic design efforts in the Atlanta

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
Minimum of 1-2 years of roadway design experience.
EI/EIT Certification required.
Experience using Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) software preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are important.
Working knowledge of AASHTO and MUTCD roadway design materials.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design of a variety of Traffic project types.
Collaborate with project team members, client representatives, review agencies to resolve issues and develop effective solutions.
Assist in the analysis and preparation of reports, specifications, plans, and permits for projects.
Use CAD software to prepare engineering and design documents/drawings.
Accompany design team on site visits and client meetings as needed.
Learn and apply GDOT guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Ensure tasks are completed promptly and meet quality expectations.
