Job summary

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. seeks a Roadway Project Engineer to join our growing team in Atlanta, GA.

You will be responsible for technical design and preparation of plan sets for diverse roadway project types including urban streets, rural highways, bridges, sidewalks, roundabouts, and interchanges. You will assist in project scope, budget, and schedule development, and mentor staff while collaborating with clients, review agencies, and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• 5+ years of roadway design experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license is required or pursuing licensure.
• Experience with GDOT policies and procedures is a plus.
• Experience with roadway drainage design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists in project scope, budget and schedule development.
• Supports PM providing technical knowledge on various projects.
• Prepares and reviews engineering specifications, documents, drawings, etc. to produce deliverables.
• Mentors and reviews work of technicians and more junior staff.
• Collaborate with project team members, client representatives, and review agencies to resolve challenges.
• Participate in client and stakeholder meetings, as appropriate.
• Conducts on-site visits, as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as requested.
