Job summary

TPD is currently hiring dynamic Engineers at all levels in Melville, NY. We offer a collaborative and supportive environment and seek candidates with 4–8 years of experience, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities include managing projects, coordinating with staff, and contributing to traffic design and planning efforts. Requirements include a Civil Engineering degree, NY PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months), and CAD experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE license NY required (or ability to obtain within first 6 months).
• PTOE desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with NYSDOT/NYCDOT/CTDOT/NJDOT experience desirable.
• Knowledge of CAD Software (MicroStation or AutoCAD).
• Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects, staff and clients.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams on traffic design tasks.
• Assist in preparation of specifications, plans, schedules, permits and designs.
• Assist with traffic/parking studies, corridor planning and safety audits.
• Coordinate with field inspection staff and serve as on-site project representative.
