Job summary

Responsibilities include managing projects, coordinating with staff, and contributing to traffic design and planning efforts. Requirements include a Civil Engineering degree, NY PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months), and CAD experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE license NY required (or ability to obtain within first 6 months).
• PTOE desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with NYSDOT/NYCDOT/CTDOT/NJDOT experience desirable.
• Knowledge of CAD Software (MicroStation or AutoCAD).
• Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage projects, staff and clients.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams on tasks such as work zone traffic, intersection design, traffic signal design, roadway signing and pavement marking plans, DOT access permitting, control plans and traffic signal operations analysis.
• Assist in the preparation specifications, plans, construction schedules, impact studies, permits, and designs for projects.
• Assist with traffic/parking studies, corridor planning, feasibility studies, and safety audits.
• Coordinate with field inspection staff and serve as an on-site project representative.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in NY required (or ability to obtain within first 6 months)
• Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) desirable
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with design standards, NYSDOT/NYCDOT/CTDOT/NJDOT experience (desirable)
• Knowledge of CADD Software (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
• Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suitei
• Valid Driver’s License

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000
