Job summary

TPD in the United States is seeking civil engineers with a strong work ethic to join a dynamic team. The role involves leading projects across traffic, roadway design, and related disciplines while collaborating with staff, clients and field teams.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a NY PE license (or obtain within 6 months). PTOE is desirable, with a salary range of $90,000–$120,000 and a commitment to professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in NY required (or the ability to obtain within first 6 months).
• PTOE desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with NYSDOT/NYCDOT/CTDOT/NJDOT standards is desirable.
• Knowledge of CAD software (MicroStation or AutoCAD).
• Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects, staff and clients.

• Assist in preparation of specifications, plans, schedules, permits and designs.
• Assist with traffic/parking studies, corridor planning, feasibility studies and safety audits.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage projects, staff and clients.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams on tasks such as work zone traffic, intersection design, traffic signal design, roadway signing and pavement marking plans, DOT access permitting, control plans and traffic signal operations analysis.
• Assist in the preparation specifications, plans, construction schedules, impact studies, permits, and designs for projects.
• Assist with traffic/parking studies, corridor planning, feasibility studies, and safety audits.
• Coordinate with field inspection staff and serve as an on-site project representative.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in NY required (or ability to obtain within first 6 months)
• Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) desirable
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with design standards, NYSDOT/NYCDOT/CTDOT/NJDOT experience (desirable)
• Knowledge of CADD Software (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
• Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Driver’s License

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000
