Traffic Planning & Design in New Jersey is seeking engineers at all levels to join a dynamic team. You will work on traffic-related design projects, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and help manage client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• NJ PE license required or able to obtain within 6 months.
• PTOE is desirable.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects, staff and clients.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams on traffic-related designs and plans.
• Prepare specifications, plans, schedules, and permits for projects.
• Conduct traffic/parking studies, corridor planning, and safety audits.
• Coordinate with field inspection staff and serve as on-site project representative.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage projects, staff and clients.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams on tasks such as work zone traffic, intersection design, traffic signal design, roadway signing and pavement marking plans, DOT access permitting, control plans and traffic signal operations analysis.
• Assist in the preparation specifications, plans, construction schedules, impact studies, permits, and designs for projects.
• Assist with traffic/parking studies, corridor planning, feasibility studies, and safety audits.
• Coordinate with field inspection staff and serve as an on-site project representative.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in NJ required (or ability to obtain within first 6 months)
• Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) desirable
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with design standards, NJDOT experience (desirable)
• Knowledge of CADD Software (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD)
• Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Driver’s License

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 (depending on qualifications)
