Job summary

Traffic Planning & Design is seeking engineers at all levels in New Jersey to join a dynamic team focused on traffic engineering projects. The role requires a minimum of 4–8 years of experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple projects within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include managing projects, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, and supporting design efforts from concept through permitting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in NJ required (or ability to obtain within first 6 months).
• Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with design standards, NJDOT experience desirable.
• Knowledge of CADD Software (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD).
• Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Driver’s License.

• Work with multi-disciplinary teams on tasks such as work zone traffic, intersection design, traffic signal design, roadway signing and pavement marking plans, DOT access permitting, control plans and traffic signal operations analysis.
• Assist in the preparation specifications, plans, construction schedules, impact studies, permits, and designs for projects.
• Assist with traffic/parking studies, corridor planning, feasibility studies, and safety audits.
• Coordinate with field inspection staff and serve as an on-site project representative.
