Job summary

City Rise Traffic, a California traffic control safety service, seeks a Traffic Control Associate to manage traffic around active work zones using Stop/Slow signals. You'll coordinate with a crew, set up barriers, and ensure safety for motorists, pedestrians, workers, and the public.

You must hold a valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record. LIUNA union membership is preferred for Journeyman and Apprentice levels; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred
• ATSSA Flagging certification required or company can certify in-house
• Minimum 2 years in a similar role preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety focus in all job functions
• Coordinate traffic flow around work zones using signals and plans
• Assist in work zone setup, maintenance and teardown per regulations
• Communicate with customers, public and team members
• Keep equipment organized and in working order
• Read traffic control plans and permits when available
