Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc. is seeking a Traffic Control Technician II in Watsontown, PA to set up and take down lane closures, ensuring safety for workers and the public.

You’ll operate trucks, drive MOT and TMA vehicles, and place/adjust signs and safety devices across state highways and local roadways. The role requires 1–3 years of experience in traffic control, the ability to pass DOT and background checks, and willingness to travel statewide with some overnight stays.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience and 2,000 in field hours in traffic control.
• Must pass background check and motor vehicle records check.
• Must pass drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
• Willingness to travel statewide, with occasional overnight stays, and ability to work nights and weekends as required by projects.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and on work sites.
• Drive TMA vehicle to and from projects and on work sites to protect workers and work zones.
• Place temporary construction signs in work areas.
• Position arrow boards or variable message boards in work areas.
• Set up traffic cones and other traffic safety devices in work areas.
• Monitor the work zone to ensure items remain in their proper locations.
• Collect and load traffic control items at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, posts, and supports.
• Perform shop work, including general maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures.
