Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Traffic Control Technician responsible for setting up lane closures, directing traffic, and protecting workers on state highways and job sites.

You will operate MOT and TMA vehicles, place signs and cones, perform equipment maintenance, and travel statewide with rotating on-call shifts, while following DOT and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• 1–3 years’ traffic control experience and 2,000 field hours.
• Pass background, motor vehicle records, drug test, and DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT and TMA vehicles to project sites and ensure worker safety.
• Place and position traffic signs, cones, and message boards.
• Monitor the work zone and maintain proper equipment placement.
• Perform shop maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Travel statewide and work night/weekend shifts as required.
