Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Technician II for Savannah, GA. You will set up and take down lane closures, redirect traffic for workers or survey crews, and transport safety products between job sites.

Responsibilities include operating MOT/TMA vehicles, installing signs and cones, and ensuring a safe work zone. Requires valid US driver’s license, DOT compliance, ability to lift 70 lbs, and willingness to travel statewide, with potential night/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. Driver's License with a good driving record.
• 1-3 years of experience and 2,000 in-field hours in traffic control.
• Must pass background check and motor vehicle records check.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear proper PPE and safety equipment.
• Must read plans and ensure traffic control plans are implemented.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and on worksites.
• Drive TMA vehicle to protect workers and work zones.
• Place temporary construction signs and position arrow boards.
• Set up traffic cones and other safety devices in work areas.
• Monitor the work zone throughout the shift and ensure items remain in place.
• Load and unload traffic control items at shift start and end.
