Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc is hiring a Traffic Control Technician to manage work zones, guide traffic, and ensure crew safety. You will set up and remove traffic control devices, communicate with the team, and work outdoors in all weather while following safety rules.

The role offers competitive hourly pay ($23/hour+ with experience), full benefits, and potential overtime. Eligible applicants will join a safety‑driven company that values integrity, accountability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• TCT Certification or 2000+ verifiable hours required.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Prior experience in temporary traffic control, utility or construction preferred.
• Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Must pass pre-hire drug screening; safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices per guidelines and plans.
• Set up cones, signs, barricades and remove equipment after work.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor site activity.
• Follow all safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Help keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside year-round in all weather; shifts may vary.
• Drive company vehicle to transport equipment and team members.
• Follow all company safety procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
