Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. is seeking motivated individuals to join as Traffic Control Technicians in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

The Senior Protector role supports and upholds our safety standards, coordinating traffic through work zones and ensuring the safety of workers and the public. Responsibilities include setting up traffic control devices, managing a STOP/SLOW signaling stance, and communicating with team members and customers.

Qualifications

• TCT Certification or 2000+ verifiable hours required.
• High School Diploma or GED completion required.
• Prior experience preferred in temporary traffic control services, utility industry, or construction industry preferred.
• Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products and customer relationship management systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices according to federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Maintain a Flagger Station by using STOP/SLOW signals.
• Drive a company vehicle to transport equipment and crew to sites safely and promptly.
• Coordinate and communicate with customers to ensure worker safety.
• Follow all safety procedures and report issues to supervisors.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and mentoring to Protector.
• Other duties as assigned.
