Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor to design, install, and maintain temporary traffic control in work zones across Kentucky. You will supervise crews, deploy signs, cones, and message boards, and ensure safety compliance with DOT rules.

The role requires 2+ years in traffic control, ATSSA training, and ability to travel statewide with possible night/weekend shifts. This non-exempt position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in traffic control with 4,000 field hours.
• Must pass a background check including motor vehicle records.
• Must pass a drug test and meet DOT requirements.
• Wear safety equipment (boots with toe, hard hat, safety glasses, vest).
• Basic reading and writing ability to comply with road signs and paperwork.
• Must read plans and ensure traffic control plans are implemented.
• Good knowledge of state/local roadways and operating delivery vehicles.
• Willingness to travel statewide with possible overnight stays.
• Able to work nights and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Design, set up, and maintain temporary traffic control in work zones.
• Use traffic control devices to divert drivers and pedestrians.
• Monitor the work zone throughout the shift and keep items in place.
• Supervise teams installing equipment and load items at shift start/end.
• Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, posts, and supports.
• Perform shop work and general maintenance of equipment.
• Follow all safety rules and Company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
