Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. is seeking Protectors to work at traffic control sites. No experience or degree is required; we provide training and support to help you build a career in traffic safety.

You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and follow safety rules. Expect to work outside year-round in all weather, with shifts that may include nights or weekends. A valid driver’s license is required, and pre-hire screening including a drug test will be conducted;

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods outdoors.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds and work outside in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license is required and pre-hire drug screening will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades at job sites.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor site activity.
• Follow all safety rules learned in training.
• Communicate effectively with crew and supervisor.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside year-round; shifts may include nights or weekends.
