Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. is seeking Protectors to manage traffic and safeguard worksites in varying weather conditions. No experience or degree required; we provide training and safety-focused support to help you build a career.

Your daily tasks include setting up cones, signs, and barricades, guiding traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and staying alert on site. Expect outdoor work year-round, with potential nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test (safety sensitive job)
• Valid driver's license
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather
• Flexible schedule; Show up on time, every shift

Responsibilities

• Setting up cones, signs, and barricades and taking traffic control equipment down
• Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic, watching traffic and job site activity
• Following all safety rules taught in training
• Communicating with your crew and supervisor
• Helping keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe
• Working outside all year, in all weather
• Shifts may change based on job needs: some nights, weekends, or emergency work may be required
• You may stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shift
