Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. is seeking Protectors to manage traffic at job sites, setting up cones and barricades, guiding traffic, and complying with safety training. No experience or degree is required, as training is provided.

You will work outdoors year-round, with shifts that may include nights, weekends, or emergencies. You must pass a pre-hire drug test and carry a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; punctual and reliable.
• Must pass pre-hire screening including a drug test.
• Stay alert around moving traffic; follow all safety rules.
• Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and remove traffic control equipment.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor site activity.
• Follow safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside year-round in all weather.
• Shift changes; some nights, weekends, or emergency work may be required.
• Stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shift.
