Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction sites and work zones. The role involves setting up and dismantling signs, cones, and barricades, and guiding motorists using hand signals and stop/slow paddles.

You must be able to work outdoors in varying weather and stand for long periods. The position requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to pass DOT background checks and drug tests, and the willingness to travel statewide with

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check including motor vehicle records.
• Must successfully pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Able to stand for up to 10 hours a day in outdoor conditions.
• Able to lift, carry, push, pull, and move items over 50 pounds.
• Willingness to travel statewide, with overnight stays as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and traffic control devices to divert traffic around work areas.
• Effectively manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Maintain clear communication with team via two-way radios.
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment to and from job sites.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and ensure equipment is in good condition.
