Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction sites and work zones. You will set up and remove signs, cones, and barricades, using signals and paddles to guide motorists safely.

The role requires standing for long periods, working outdoors in various weather, and lifting up to 50 pounds. DOT compliance and safety training are mandatory; travel statewide may be needed.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check including motor vehicle records.
• Must pass a drug test and meet DOT requirements.
• Wear safety PPE: boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, vest.
• Willingness to travel statewide with possible overnight stays.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as required.
• Rotating on-call schedule availability.
• Excellent attendance and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and devices to divert traffic.
• Effectively manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Communicate clearly with team using two-way radios.
• Stand and walk for extended periods outdoors in various weather.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and move items over 50 pounds.
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections for reliability.
• Exposure to outdoor weather, traffic, fumes and particles.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
