Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems seeks a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction sites and work zones. You will set up and remove signs, cones, and barricades to ensure safety for workers and motorists.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work outdoors in different weather, and the stamina to stand for long periods. Training through ATSSA and DOT compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check, including motor vehicle records.
• Must successfully pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear proper safety equipment (boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest).
• Provide effective communication with contractors and internal teams while delivering high-level customer service.
• Willingness to travel statewide, with overnight stays, and work nights/weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and traffic control devices to divert traffic.
• Effectively manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Maintain clear communication with team using two-way radios.
• Stand and walk for up to 10 hours a day.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and move items over 50 pounds.
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment to and from job sites.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and traffic settings.
• Follow company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
