Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction sites and work zones. You will set up signs, cones and barriers, communicate with motorists using signals and two-way radios, and help keep crews safe outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities include managing traffic flow with stop/slow paddles, driving to transport equipment, performing routine vehicle checks, and working a rotating on-call schedule, including nights and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass background checks.
• Must pass drug test and meet DOT requirements.
• ATSSA Flagger training completed.
• Willing to travel statewide and work nights/weekends as required.
• Effective communication with contractors and teams while delivering customer service.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and barriers to divert traffic.
• Manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Communicate with team via two-way radios.
• Stand and walk for long portions of shift.
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
