Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a General Laborer/Flagger to direct traffic around construction sites and maintain safety for workers and the public. You will set up signs, cones, and barricades, communicate with motorists, and operate traffic control devices while standing for long periods.

The role requires outdoor work in varying weather, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a willingness to travel statewide with possible nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License and clean DMV record.
• Must pass background and DOT drug testing.
• ATSSA Flagger training completed or willing to obtain.
• Defensive driving training preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with crews using radios.
• Willingness to travel statewide and work nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic around construction sites and work zones using signs and devices.
• Set up and remove traffic control equipment, cones, and barricades.
• Maintain safe traffic flow with stop/slow paddles and clear signaling.
• Communicate effectively with team via two-way radios.
• Stand/walk for long periods, lift items up to 50 pounds.
• Drive company vehicles to transport equipment to sites and perform basic vehicle checks.
• Adhere to safety policies and company procedures; rotate on-call shifts as required.
