RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction zones and work sites in Reno, NV. You will set up signs, cones, and barricades, communicate with motorists, and ensure safety for workers and the public.

This role requires standing for long periods and working outdoors in varying weather. The position involves travel statewide, occasional overnight stays, and a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required and driving record must meet company standards.
• Background check and motor vehicle records review required.
• Must pass a drug test and meet DOT requirements.
• ATSSA Flagger training and Defensive Driver training completed.
• Willingness to travel statewide with overnight stays as needed.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends as project schedules require.
• Must wear required safety gear including boots, helmet, glasses, and vest.
• Strong attendance and dependable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices to divert traffic around work areas.
• Effectively manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles and clear signaling.
• Maintain clear communication with team members using two-way radios.
• Stand and walk for long periods (up to 10 hours a day) outdoors in varying weather.
• Lift, carry, push, and move items up to 50 pounds.
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment to and from job sites.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and ensure equipment is in good condition.
• Comply with all company policies and safety procedures; participate in on-call rotations as required.
