Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Flagger I to direct traffic around construction sites and work zones in the United States. The role involves setting up and taking down signs, cones, and barricades to guide motorists safely.

Applicants must pass DOT medical/drug tests and complete ATSSA Flagger training, with the ability to work outdoors in varying weather and stand for long periods. Willingness to travel statewide and work nights/weekends as needed is required.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check.
• Must successfully pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices around work areas to divert traffic.
• Effectively manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with team members using two-way radios.
• Regularly required to stand and walk and reach with hands and arms for up to 10 hours a day.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move items over 50 pounds.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, moving equipment and machinery parts, moving traffic, fumes, and airborne particles.
• Noise level of the work environment is usually moderate to loud.Follow all safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
• Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
