Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Flagger 2 to direct traffic around construction and work zones. You will set up and remove traffic signs, cones, and barricades, and guide motorists using hand signals, signs, and radios to ensure safety and smooth flow.

This non-exempt, full-time role requires outdoor work in varying weather, long hours, and adherence to safety rules. You’ll train on ATSSA standards, pass DOT checks, and may travel statewide.

Qualifications

• Requires ATSSA Flagger training and DOT compliance.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• Wear safety gear (boots, hard hat, glasses, vest).
• Able to operate two-way radio and follow directions clearly.
• Willingness to travel statewide and work nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and remove traffic control signs, cones, and barricades.
• Direct traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Communicate with team via two-way radio.
• Stand/walk for long periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Operate company vehicles and inspect them for safety.
