Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction sites and work zones. You will set up and remove signs, cones, and barricades, and communicate with motorists using hand signals and stop/slow paddles to keep crews and the public safe.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, ability to pass background and drug tests (DOT), ATSSA Flagger and Defensive Driver training, and willingness to travel statewide with occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check including motor vehicle records.
• Must pass a drug test and meet DOT requirements.
• Wear proper safety gear (boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest).
• Willingness to travel statewide with occasional overnight stays.
• Complete ATSSA Flagger training and Defensive Driver training.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices to divert traffic.
• Effectively manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Maintain clear communication with team using two-way radios.
• Stand and walk for extended periods outdoors in various weather.
• Drive company vehicles to job sites and perform routine vehicle inspections.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
