Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction sites and work zones. Set up and take down signs, cones, and barricades; guide motorists with hand signals and paddles while coordinating with the team outdoors.

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, pass background and drug tests, and meet DOT requirements. Willingness to travel statewide with overnight stays is required; ATSSA Flagger and Defensive Driver training preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Background check, including motor vehicle records.
• Drug test and DOT requirements successfully completed.
• ATSSA Flagger training and Defensive Driver training preferred.
• Willingness to travel statewide with occasional overnight stays.
• Stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and barriers to divert traffic.
• Manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Communicate clearly with team using two-way radios.
• Stand/walk for long periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Transport equipment to job sites in company vehicles.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.
• Adhere to safety policies; wear PPE and follow procedures.
• Be available for nights and weekends as required.
