Job summary

Garver Engineering seeks a Traffic Analysis Engineer in Fayetteville, AR to support our growing traffic and transportation planning team. 5–10 years of related experience and a PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months) are preferred.

You will work on projects for DOTs and municipal clients and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams. The role offers growth opportunities, mentorship, and a client-focused environment with strong communication expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • 4–8 years of experience with traffic-specific projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Working knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual & Trip Generation Manual.
  • Experience with capacity analysis, traffic projections, and safety analysis (including HSM).
  • Experience with traffic simulation programs (VISSIM, CORSIM, etc.), Synchro, and HCS.
  • Experience analyzing intersections, interchanges, and roundabouts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Performing traffic and safety studies.
  • Performing traffic simulation and level of service analysis.
  • Developing access management plans and lane configurations for new or modified alignments.
  • Developing traffic signal timing plans.
  • Preparing summary documentation and reports.
  • Coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and communicating concepts to clients.
  • Assisting with project management to identify scopes, fees, and monitor progress.
  • Maintaining a client-focused service attitude and keeping projects on schedule.
  • Preparing project proposals and supporting project pursuits.
  • Direct client marketing and developing relationships within the service area.
  • Mentoring less experienced staff.
