Job summary

Garver in Rogers, AR seeks a Traffic Analysis Engineer to join our traffic and transportation planning team. The role focuses on analyzing and designing projects for DOT and municipal clients, with growth opportunities under supervision of a Senior Project Manager.

Ideal candidate has 5–10 years of experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for the field. Responsibilities include traffic studies, simulations, access management, and mentoring staff, with emphasis on client interaction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree for an ABET accredited engineering program
• 4 - 8 years of experience with traffic specific projects
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) or have ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Working knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual & Trip Generation Manual is required
• Working knowledge in capacity analysis, traffic projections, and safety analysis (including HSM) is required
• Working knowledge of traffic simulation programs (VISSIM, CORSIM, etc.), Synchro, and HCS is required
• Experience in analyzing intersections, interchanges, and roundabouts
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Performing traffic and safety studies
• Performing traffic simulation and level of service analysis
• Developing access management plans and lane configurations for new or modified alignments
• Developing traffic signal timing plans
• Preparing summary documentation and reports
• Coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and communicating concepts to clients
• Assisting with project management to identify project scopes, fees, and monitoring project progress
• Maintaining a client-focused service attitude by tracking budgets and keeping projects on schedule
• Preparing project proposals and giving interviews for project pursuits
• Direct client marketing and developing relationships with existing clients within our service area
• Mentoring less experienced staff
