Job summary

Garver in North Little Rock, AR seeks a Traffic Analysis Engineer with 5–10 years of experience to join its growing traffic and transportation planning team. You will analyze and design projects for DOT and municipal clients across the footprint, with mentorship from a Senior Project Manager and ample growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 4–8 years of traffic-specific project experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Working knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual & Trip Generation Manual is required.
• Working knowledge in capacity analysis, traffic projections, and safety analysis (including HSM).
• Experience with traffic simulation programs (VISSIM, CORSIM, etc.), Synchro, and HCS.
• Experience analyzing intersections, interchanges, and roundabouts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Performing traffic and safety studies.
• Performing traffic simulation and level of service analysis.
• Developing access management plans and lane configurations for new or modified alignments.
• Developing traffic signal timing plans.
• Preparing summary documentation and reports.
• Coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and communicating concepts to clients.
• Assisting with project management to identify project scopes, fees, and monitoring project progress.
• Maintaining a client-focused, service attitude by tracking budgets, and keeping projects on schedule.
• Preparing project proposals and giving interviews for project pursuits.
• Performing direct client marketing and developing relationships with existing clients within our service area.
• Mentoring less experienced staff.
